Cleveland Mentorship Program Overview

The Cleveland Mentorship Program, led by youth anger management and character development specialist Mike Mathis, is designed to empower teens with structure, guidance, and real-world skills. This community-based initiative combines scenario-based teaching, hands-on activities, and meaningful mentorship to help young people navigate challenges, build resilience, and unlock their full potential.

Program Structure

  • Sessions: 3 times per week.

  • Location: Recreation Center

  • Duration: 2 hours per day.

  • Format: Interactive lessons, group discussions, and team-building activities.

What’s Included

  • Nutritious Meals & Snacks – every session includes food to ensure students are focused and energized.

  • Educational Trips & Experiences – exposure to new environments, cultural activities, and real-world learning.

  • Group Activities – sports, workshops, and community projects that foster teamwork and leadership.

  • Scenario-Based Teaching – role plays, real-life situations, and guided discussions to practice emotional intelligence, decision-making, and problem-solving.

Mike’s Approach

Mike doesn’t just “teach” he gets to the root of things. By addressing underlying emotions, family struggles, and personal challenges, he helps mentees:
